WHAT IS SENIOR GAMES?

Senior Games is a network of 54 local games held in every county or region of North Carolina. It consists of two divisions of competition- SilverArts for the creative person and official sports for those more athletically inclined. Senior Games is a wellness and health promotion program that includes fun, fitness and fellowship.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Any resident of Moore County for a minimum of three consecutive months of the year may participate. You must be age 55 or better on December 31, 2010 to be eligible to compete. North Carolina Senior Games requires a photo ID to verify …

Moore County End of Life Coalition

The members of the Moore County End of Life Coalition have been hard at work on a community project involving local children and those suffering from illness this holiday season. Ornaments have been made and will be distributed on Dec. 18th to local Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing facilities.

Second Chance Prom

Who says you can’t have a second chance? The Carolina House of Pinehurst offered a “Second Chance Prom” to their residents in early December. Our staff helped pick out a dress, jewelry and make-up to get this lovely couple ready for their big “date”.

Chamber After Hours

In May of 09 we co-sponsored a Chamber After Hours event with Caterino’s. Featuring the Sand Band, our event in support of the Moore County Chamber of Commerce was a huge success.

One of our 91 year old clients and local business owner, Matthew Mill, enjoyed a ride though his home town Christmas Parade with Amy Natt, CEO of Aging Outreach Services. With some of the AOS kids’ assistance, they poured candy out for all to enjoy in support of Southern Pines!
